JUST REDUCED 10K - OFFERS ENCOURAGED

CHEWINK, a 34' classic downeast style cruiser, was designed and built in Southern Main by Charles Frederic Lyman for his own amusement. He gave her a modified deep-V planing hull, and aimed at a cruising speed of about 15 knots.  Originally equipped with twin 92HP Diesel Outdrives that produced a disapointing 11.5kt cruise 13.5kts WOT the project hit the shelf. She was purchased in 1987 by Craig A. Stevens and in conjunction with Mr. Lyman, received a thorough refit over the next several years.  In April of 1995, Chewink was re-launched with her current power a 1992 single 315HP Yanmar Turbocharged Diesel with an Evolution Company Surface Drive resulting in  a very respectable 20kt cruise and 27.5kts WOT. Currently indoor stored for convenient showing.

She is fully equipped for long range economical travel including Navnet GPS/Radar/Fish Finder, VHS Radio, Stereo, Refrigerator, Stove, Head, Sink, Fenders & Lines and all Coast Guard required gear.

The entire refit was documented in "The Redeeming of CHEWINK" article in the September/October 1995 issue of "Wooden Boat Magazine". The Full Article is available on request.
