Located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, is Norton’s Shipyard and Marina
which is home to our Smith Yacht Sales office run by Mr. Joe Fortin. The Shipyard and Marina first opened its door back in 1945 and is still a family owned and operated business run by the Norton Family. The Marina has a great reputation for providing quick, courteous, quality service. They take great pride in treating every one of their customers as part of the family.
Norton's Shipyard & Marina is a well-protected deep water basin which is neat, well organized and well maintained. From your boat you will have a fine view of the boat basin, Greenwich Cove and Long Point to your east.
In addition to the Marina's 185 slips ranging from 26' to 300' they also have 100 moorings that can accommodate up to a 30' boat. 90% of docks and grounds have been renovated in recent years and they have also added a convenient pump out service that can pump out your boat even when you're not there.
Norton’s has a 35 ton Marine Travel lift for your hauling needs and a qualified rigging staff. The Marina has a large new building that houses the Marina Office as well as a Discount Marine Store. Also located nearby are Doyle’s Sail Loft and New England Yacht Rigging for all your sail and rigging needs.
The Marina features private showers and restroom facilities, picnic area and an area to walk your dog. Norton's is located at the foot of Division St in historic East Greenwich and is a short walk away to many great cafes, restaurants and supply stores. Norton's is also the location of the West Bay Yacht Club. This friendly family-oriented club holds activities such as racing and cruising in addition to fun social events run throughout the boating season.
McKinley's Pub is located next to the West Bay Yacht Club and offers a great place to meet friends and fellow boaters for a drink. McKinley's offers lunches and other great bar food specials. The East Greenwich waterfront is an attractive destination for mariners and landlubbers alike, with many restaurants, bars, and clubs on the waterfront. You’ll also find Goddard Memorial State Park with many beaches. East Greenwich is also a great place for the Historian to explore! Rich in Maritime History, East Greenwich is known to be the birthplace of the American Navy and there are many national historic sites to visit!
